A “Moving” Gift

Despite appearances, Merrimack’s Cascia Hall wasn’t built on the ground where it currently sits. Formerly known as the Fellowship Bible Church, the building was previously located at the corner of Routes 125 and 114 in North Andover. In 1996, it was gifted to the college by Osco Drug Co., picked up, and moved across the street to campus. It was renamed for St. Rita of Cascia, a popular Italian Augustinian nun, and now serves as a multipurpose space used for meals, parties, social events, as well as classes and lectures.
