CHIRP for New Discoveries

CHIRP for New Discoveries

In 2021, Merrimack launched the College’s first research center: The Center for Health Inclusion, Research and Practice (CHIRP). CHIRP’s mission is to close health disparity gaps through research,  interventions, and policies that promote wellness and prevent physical and mental disease, especially among our most vulnerable populations.

CHIRP brings together the labs of three professors in the School of Health Sciences: Dr. Leena Bharath, Dr. April Bowling and Dr. Juliana Cohen. Some highlights from the Center’s first year:

$ 0 M
Exernal grant
funds raised
Presentations at national and international conferences
Peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters published
Graduate and undergraduate research assistants employed
