From the White Stripe’s Seven Nation Army to Ozzy Osborne’s Crazy Train, rock tunes have long lived on the set lists of marching bands… but Merrimack students took their love for the genre one step further. Members of the marching band formed a rock group that lifts school spirit with classic hits at student events.
The Merrimack College Marching Band launched this past year with 40 members, with plans to grow to around 100 members who will perform at Merrimack’s DI athletics events. “The marching band enriches an existing community of musicians and is becoming a powerful draw for the recruitment of multi-talented students to Merrimack,” said President Chris Hopey.
