On the Rise

Since 2010, when Merrimack was included in the US News and World Report rankings for regional universities, the College has risen from #174 Regional University in the North to #34 in 2022. Talk about progress!

Some of the factors that contributed to this remarkable ascent include:

Named Christopher Hopey as 8th president of College
Established O'Brien Center for Career Development
Created Mucci Capital Markets Lab
Inaugurated North Residential Village
Opened Crowe Hall
Instituted Early College Program
Transitioned to Division 1 Athletics. Dedicated Dr. Alfred L. Arcidi Center. Named an Apple Distinguished School.
Opened Nursing Center
Awarded the Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement. Established Merrimack College Police Academy.
