Providing a Helping Hand

At Merrimack, service is in our DNA. Case in point? Hands to Help, a community resource center launched in partnership with St. Mary of the Assumption Parish and powered by student volunteers.

Since August 2015, Hands to Help has been meeting practical needs in the Lawrence community through a variety of free services, from resume building and after-school tutoring to ESL classes and tax prep assistance. Today, after two moves to accommodate the program’s expansion, the office is located in the Bell Tower Building in North Lawrence and includes a drop-in center that provides local residents with immediate help when they need it.
